LPR Construction provides in-house Pre-Construction Engineering and Surveying services. The goal of the Pre-Construction team is to increase safety, efficiency, and productivity which in turn reduces construction hazards, installation costs and schedule durations on the project. Utilization of virtual construction visualization technology in the office and on the jobsites help us “see into our potential future” allowing us to make decisions early in the planning process to positively affect our upcoming work.
Preplanning efforts include connection design assist, the composition of complex erection plans illustrated in 3D, safe and efficient custom engineered rigging and lift design, shoring systems as required, structural analysis modeling of complex and critical construction stages, as well as temporary restraint systems for wind and intermediate construction stability.
LPR Construction Co. engineering utilizes Trimble and Tekla as their primary construction planning platform in day to day operations. Products include:
- Tekla Engineering Licenses
- Tekla Construction Management License
- Tekla Viewer Licenses
- Tekla BIMSight users (office & field personnel)
- Trimble S6 Robotic Total Station
- Trimble TSC2 Data Collector with internal radio for the S6 Robotic TS
- Nikon Total Stations with Nomad Data Collectors (or Spectra Precision DC’s)
- Spectra Precision software – Foresight and Survey Pro
Shoring Systems:
Using creative design methods, detailed shoring procedures are developed. Shoring removal parameters and techniques are also put into place to maintain proper erection tolerances and alignment of the structure. LPR in-house engineered shoring towers, which have been used on multiple projects, are setup and utilized for the most complex structural framing imaginable.
Communication and Execution of the Plan:
LPR has developed a Project Management and Field Operation group that has been set up to execute the detailed construction plans developed by LPR engineering. Communication of these construction plans are collaborative and field operations are always encouraged to evaluate the plan and suggest improvements, which are routinely considered and integrated into the future work.
